The project has been backed by funding from Arts Council England (£2.9m), Nottingham City Council (£300,000), the East Midlands Development Agency (£300,000), the Greater Nottinghamshire Partnership (£534,000) and the European Regional Development Fund (£266,000).
The Neighbourhood Development Company, formerly New Deal for Communities Radford and Hyson Green, which has provided £1.2m, says the Exchange will form a keystone in the regeneration of the area.

US led war on Afghanistan brought further suffering to impoverished Afghans. 400 tonne food convoys immediately sent in via Pakistan. Emergency medical clinics, mobile medical units and ambulance service set-up to serve Kabul, Kandahar, Jalalabad, Charman and Peshawar. 10,000 school kits and 300 wheelchairs distributed.
2001
Aid agencies pulled out of Afghanistan leaving 7.5 million Afghans facing hunger and winter. Muslim Hands sent aid convoys to Herat, Kabul, Jalalabad and Kandahar. A medical camp and an ambulance services were set-up.
2000
The sacking of Grozny: Muslim Hands provides regular food, clothing and shelter to 7,000 refugees in Georgia. Also established four schools for children and adults.
1999
Wark in Kosova: 500 tonnes of food, clothing and medicine distributed. 12 ambulances deployed with medical teams. Established a medical warehouse to coordinate international aid flowing in.

The thing is, this 'eyesore' of an art exchange, besides it's racist agenda, was built on land previously holding two wonderful early Victorian buildings, one of which was previously an arts centre for everybody....as for NDC's interest, it shows where their loyalties lie, as yet again, this project is outside of their area.
However, concerning the Muslim Hands Charity, they do provide a lot of aid in addition to that given by our government; most of their funding comes from wealthy muslim businessmen and is used to keep islamic communities together in times of difficulty rather than encouraging them to split up and travel to neighbouring contries for UN/OXFAM aid. They also provide funding for the Muslim 'Childline' which is based across the road from them.
If Muslim hands can find that sort of money to send abroad then why couldnt they fund their own arts center across the road?
As the arts centre has allplied for an alchohol license, it is unlikly that many of it's visitors/artisits will be muslim, a community which shuns 'art' in the western context.
With Muslim Hands, almost all of their funds goes overseas, to help develop areas so as to stop mass migration, which is against the Holy Qu'Ran

When you say the money is going to stop 'migration'....well thats a lot of barbed wire and AK47's to keep their people in and by the looks of it - it isn't working!!! LOL!
